That is the date of my last blog. Almost 2 years have gone and many events occurred in my life. I will enumerate them as far as I can remember and the things that I learned along the process.

I am now an I.T. Engineer in a Japanese construction firm building a  minerals' processing plant. If you ask me what's an I.T. Engineer is, I will tell you frankly that even me doesn't know its job description. Maybe it is a computer technician. A troubleshooter more or less, but often a troublemaker (base on experience maybe). I don't know what's an I.T. Engineer is, my company just gave me a vague description of it  I can understand them since my company is a construction company, they have a little know-how of what is an I.T. per se. If you ask me what I do, it's a little complicated. I do hardware servicing, in short, Computer Technician. I also do network protection and maintenance including file server - the works of a Network Engineer or a Systems Administrator. I also make contacts for different communication companies like internet service providers or telecommunication companies, reporting to them any problems with their service - a job of a liaison officer or a call center agent. I also buy different software and hardware requirements for staffs' PC, network and other equipments, calling for a bid, making cost comparisons and make purchase orders, a job description for a Purchaser. Make inventory of radio equipments, making sure that they are licensed properly and the user to have permits to use the radio, tasks under a radio operator or a radioman. In other words, I am everyone's slut. A Jack of All Trades, but a Master of None.

If I don't accept the tasks given to me even if it is not in lieu of my field, they will get mad and say, I don't know how to multi-task, or worse, I don't want to spread my horizon. And if I accept their tasks, my obligation as an I.T. Engineer will be less prioritized. Maintenance of PCs will be ignored, repairs will be delayed, monitoring and auditing of the software and equipments will be given less attention. So I am in a "Damn if you, damn if you don't" situation. Gues what I did?  Let damnation fall upon thee.

I said that I am going to enumerate the events in my life for the last 20 months since my last post, but I am just talking about my current job. For now, I will take a pause and my human body needs to rest. For tomorrow will be another D Day!

Christmas Escapade

A friend of mine said that if you do not enjoy Christmas, probably you are either getting old or you don't like Christmas at all. In my case, it's the former. Because every Christmas, I get older. Figuratively and Literally.

A lot of people said that I am lucky because Jesus and I have the same birthdays. It's true that I am grateful that my birthday falls on Christmas. But when I was child, I didn't like that idea. For one simple and greedy reason: I only get one gift for Christmas and my Birthday. It's like 2in1 package. Hahaha. Sometimes I get jealous because my siblings get gifts on their birthdays and they also receive gifts during Christmas. So in a year, they get two. Unlike me, I only have one present. Huhuhu

As I grow older this year, I am still learning the lessons of life. Like patience. I ask the Lord to bless me with the gift of patience. I still remember when I was in grade six that my teacher said I was irritable. She said probably I didn't eat my breakfast that's why I became irritable. hahaha....Maybe....

I also ask the gift of wisdom and knowledge so that I can teach my students well. I am not after the fame, but I am after their success. How I wish that 20 or 40 years from now, my students can still remember me as a good, as an excellent teacher. Seeing them successful in their own lives is enough for a humble teacher like me.

Peace of mind is my another wish. Being firm on my decisions and to be able to stand up on my principles. Unwavered integrity as a teacher and as a person. Only when I achieve these things that I gain the moral authority to teach.

This is my wish list. I hope I'm on Santa's good boy list. hahaha

But I want to negate my friend's opinion about not being able to enjoy Christmas because of age. Because right now, as I write this entry, I am having a smile on my face. And everyday is Christmas for me.

Warped backed to Present

December 20, 2009 - It was our departure schedule for a once-in-a-lifetime trip. My friends and I went to a nice place called Vinapor for Beau's birthday celebration. We went to his resort and that was our home for the next 3 days and 2 nights. We arrived to his place at around 7 pm and we were all hungry. We had to cook our food first so we prepared pancit for our supper. After eating, the session began. First shot, tequila, gin and hot sauce called "Armageddon". The effect: ZzZzZzZz and #$^%&*#$%^&*..... :))

December 21, 2009 - One of the main events for our trip, the famous CLIFF DIVING. The weather was fine but the waves were so strong. Even so, nature hadn't wavered our spirits to dive. It's like jumping a three-story building and it was like the end of our lives. My knees were trembling, I needed to shot the vodka. Wew, Oh God, help me, I don't know how to swim. "This is it", I whispered to myself. "I need to do this. I will miss more than half of my life if I didn't." I can hear my heart beating so fast. My friends cheered and it boosted my confidence. 1, 2, 3 and I jumped. The adrenalin was great. It was a big splash. hahaha.
Thanks God, there were swimmers on our team. They helped me to swim to the shore. Wew.

At the evening, we played "unggoy-unggoy". Gian, Rapoy and Pet lost  and needed to carry the pillow and the chair. hahaha.... I almost lost the game but we ended the game so the three losers haven't got their revenge on us. They were branded as Team Lukdo.

December 22, 2009 - Before we hit the road home, we went to Jurassic Park for another short dive. I said again to myself, "I have to do this". And again, I survived. Around 2 pm, we started our travel to Butuan City. Almost 4, we arrived in our hideout, SBB.

That was my experience together with the SBB guys.

P.S.

SBB noun - Sa Babaw (ni) Bossing. It refers to a place where we play, chill out and hangout.
The acronym SBB was added a new meaning when one of the members, Michael "Sago" Sagarino surikbotized another member.

Surikbot (noun) - The process of stealing a girl from another man. Synonymous to backdoor.
Added a meaning to SBB, which became SurikBot Boys
